My body sinks in the middle of my mattress.
The place where I bought the mattress said that the company that manufactured the mattress had closed.
Another company bought them, but is not honoring their warranty.
I will have to buy a new mattress.
My question is, Can the seller be held responsible to replace or fix this mattress if he knew about the closing that I bought only 6 months ago.

Typically, the warranty that comes with a mattress is from the company that makes it. The retailer is your agent and your first "go to" guy when something goes wrong. The retailer is the one who initiates the warranty process.
But, if the company that made it, is no longer in business, you're just stuck.
However, your question is an interesting one.
I don’t know how you can prove that the retailer knew that the warranty would be worthless at the time the mattress was sold.
However, your question is one for a lawyer.
Sinking into a mattress has become a common problem with the widespread use of memory foam, which softens as it warms from reacting to your body heat, allowing the body to sink.
There is a long term fix for that, which will be a whole lot less expensive than buying a new mattress.
Add a latex topper, which will insulate you from the memory foam, so that the memory foam won’t have a chance to react to your body heat.

However, if your mattress is badly damaged, at that point it would be better to flip your mattress over to the firm side and add a 3” soft topper.
