The mattress we bought in 2004, was a Simmons Beautyrest. We loved it! No flipping it, just turning it. It always felt like a big hug when I got into bed. I sleep a lot on my back and occasionally on my left side.
We had no choice in replacing our mattress due to things beyond our control.
I tried a memory foam mattress that was given to us by a friend.
It was new, but I couldn’t sleep on it because it was too hard. We purchased a new one with a pillow top but it is too hard and bothers my hip and leg.
We added a 2 inch gel foam topper with an additional 2 inch pillow topper and it is still too hard.
There doesn’t seem to be any give to the mattress once you sink into the toppers.
