Cheap latex comes from China, where they use clay as a filler.
When it comes to latex, you get what you pay for.
You got almost a year out of it because you’re both so lightweight.
Most people usually get about 6 months from Chinese made latex.
Also, a latex topper provides surface comfort.
It does not provide support.
Your back hurts your because of the mattress under the topper.
It’s the mattress that supplies the support for your back.
So, it looks like you cheaped out all the way around.
You needed a mattress and bought a low quality latex topper because of price.
This is a perfect example of “penny wise and pound foolish”.

Hi Pete,
Well, that was brutally honest.
It’s funny that you would use the same terminology my husband uses. He accuses me of “cheaping out” all the time.
You have gotten him all worked up over this.
So, between the two of you, we’re now in the market for a new mattress. We are average size people and find we sleep well whenever we’re away on vacation.
