Hi Lisa,
It’ll soften. And, yes! You should be concerned, but for a different reason.
In fact, the softening will become a problem in the near future, thanks to the temperature sensitive memory foam upholstery.
We’ve had many customers ask what can be done about them sinking too far into their new Simmons Beautyrest mattress after only a few months after purchasing it.
At that point, the memory foam, which is not very resilient, has already become worthless.
The fix is to flip the mattress and add a soft 3” latex mattress topper.
You can avoid all that by adding a latex topper to the top of your new mattress now, before it’s too late… before the memory foam has a chance to wear and softening too much, after the nightly softening from reacting to your body’s heat.
By adding only a 2” soft latex topper now, you will insulate yourself from the memory foam, so that it doesn’t get a chance to react to your heat.
And, you’ll save $. it’ll cost less, as 2” is all you need to do that job.
The flip side is much firmer, requiring a 3” topper to sleep comfortably.
