Hi Pete,
Thank you so much for such an informative Blog and Website.
I will be purchasing a new mattress/boxsprings soon, and I plan to do so from you, based on your obvious expertise and concern that your customers be well-informed about their purchase.
Problem: I have severe RA and have recently sprained my hip - which has made me realize just how badly my mattress needs to be replaced!
And so I was wondering: Would purchasing one of your latex mattress toppers improve the firmness of my mattress at all, until I get the money to buy the new mattress/foundation?
Thanks so much for any guidance you can provide. - Linda
Hi Linda,
You’d be wasting your money.
A body needs some degree of firm support and some degree of surface softness to sleep well. With what you’re suggesting, you’d have just the opposite.
Since you don’t have the money to buy now, and are suffering now, first thing is to flip your mattress over. You’ll find the flip side to be firmer.
It’ll likely be too firm to sleep on comfortably.
So, you can buy a soft latex topper, which you will want to use on the new mattress you’ll eventually buy…no money wasted.
Best buy in latex toppers is had from Latex for Less.
Here’s the link you’ll need to view and purchase.
