What is the advantage of one sided vs. two-sided mattresses?

Is a one-sided mattress designed for heavier people?

Durability is based on the quality of the components...more so than one sided or two sided.
If the same mattress were available one side and two sided, then the two sided model would last longer if flipped regularly.
But that isn’t the case with today's mattresses. Even the 2 sided Simmons and Serta don't wear well because of the memory foam.
The highest quality components are found in the Natura of Canada Greenspring mattresses.
