Topper for a 20 year old Sealy SpringFree Latex Mattress.

 Hi Pete,

I bought a Sealy SpringFree latex mattress from you, about 20 years ago.
Now, it’s showing body impressions. I called Sealy and asked them about flipping the mattress.
I was told, by Sealy, not to flip the mattress, but I saw some of the Q&As on your blog, where you suggested flipping it and adding a soft mattress topper?
Any advice appreciated, oh my aching back.
Barbara

Hi Barbara,
A latex mattress has two lives. Sealy doesn’t want you to know that. They want you to buy new.
Flipping your mattress and adding your topper is a trick that often works and costs you little.
The top side has a surface layer of polyurethane. That’s what’s showing the body impression.
The flip side is the firm latex core. It’s not comfortable, but your back will feel better.
Add a soft mattress topper to the flip side for surface comfort.
