A good replacement for our Stearns and Foster Edgefield Mattress?

Laura writes:

Hi Pete,

We love our Stearns & Foster Edgefield mattress, that we have in our master bedroom.
Although I know mattresses are “supposed” to wear out after about 10 years, ours seems just as comfy and in the same shape as when we bought it in the early 2000s.
We would like our guests to enjoy the same type of comfort on our mattress, so we will be moving ours to the guest bedroom and getting a new mattress for the master bedroom.
What would you recommend as a good replacement for our Stearns and Foster Edgefield Mattress?
Thanks, Laura

Good Morning Laura,
Your Edgefield is one of the last great mattresses made by S&F.
S&F went from being considered “The Cadillac of the Industry” for many decades to nothing more than expensive junk, literally, overnight…in January of 2014, due to Tempurpedic buying them the previous year.
Since then, all S&F mattresses are upholstered with memory foam.
Memory foam is specifically designed to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing.
Your Edgefield has no memory foam in it…which is the main reason why it has lasted for so long.
The time to replace a mattress is when you are no longer sleeping well.
We had been a Sealy/S&F retailer for many years, prior to them being sold to Tempurpedic.
We carry the Natura of Canada Greenspring mattresses, which is the "High Quality" line of mattresses we found to replace S&F while shopping at the industry trade shows.

The Luxury Firm model, of these mattresses, is what to get to replace your Edgefield.
White Glove Delivery is Free, which includes setup in your bedroom and removal of all packaging materials.
All of the name brands have been sold and all are using memory foam upholstery.
Memory foam is thee thing to avoid in order to make a successful purchase.
Thanks, Pete
A waterproof mattress protector will extend the life of any mattress, keeping it clean and dry.
