We need a mattress that lasts more than just a year or two.

I am 5’2” and weigh 150.  My husband is a big man, 6’ 3" and weighs 300 lbs.
We need a new mattress, yet again!  We need a mattress that lasts more than just a year or two.
But I also need one that keeps me from being bounced around when he moves.  
We have a king bed and I would like to keep using it, but I’m thinking we need two twins.

2 Twin-XL Mattresses equals a king size...and is your best option for such a large weight difference.
There's no doubt that a mattress under a 300 lb. person will wear out faster than that same mattress under a person half that weight. Going with a split king, (2 Twin-XL), will allow you to replace only one when needed.
