I’m very sensitive to chemicals in mattresses.

Hi Pete,

I’m very sensitive to fire-retardant and other chemicals in mattresses, like memory foam.
I didn’t used to have these problems.
But apparently, in 2007, a federal mandate added some ridiculous requirements for flame retardant.
Mattress makers who use things like foam have no choice but to comply, so they spray the mattress casing with chemical fire retardants, rather than cover the mattresses in something that doesn’t burn, like wool, which is natural but too expensive.
I’m on my third mattress in two years and still looking for one that doesn’t give me a headache.
Thanks, John
Hi John
Your headaches are most likely due to the toxic chemical off gassing of the memory foam.
Besides wool, there are reasonably priced mattresses using cotton as a natural fire retardant.
Click on this link to view the Wolf line of Mattresses, using cotton, and having NO Memory Foam.

The Brolynn Old Fashioned Two Sided Mattress in Plush is the most comfortable and most popular.
Shipping is Free.
Thanks, Pete
