Hi Pete,
I'm looking to purchase a firm mattress.
The Brolynn Old Fashioned Two Sided Plush mattress states that it is firm.
I'm confused.
We have a four-poster canopy bed.
Do I need to replace my old boxspring? It seems fine.
We want to continue to use our bed frame.
Thanks, Paul
Hi Paul,
The Wolf Two Sided Brolynn is available in a choice of surface comfort:
Plush model is comfortable, but not too soft
The Firm model is not too hard
Either choice provides the same firm support.
Again, only the surface comfort changes. The firm support remains the same.
You do, in fact need to get a new foundation for your mattress.
An old foundation has weak spots that don't show by simply looking at it.
The mattress will conform to theses weak spots, which will result in premature wear.
ANY new mattress used on an old foundation, will immediately void the manufacturer's warranty.

You Should Know
Using an old box spring to support any new mattress will cause premature wear and void the manufacturer’s warranty.
A waterproof mattress protector will extend the life of a mattress by keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry.
