No hip, knee or back pain on a Disney Hotel Mattress.

Hi Pete,

We went to a Disney Hotel last week.
We slept with no hip, knee or back pain.
We've been sleeping on a 20yr old Tempur-Pedic mattress.
I know we need a new one, but have put it off for several years.
Lifted up sheet to see what we were sleeping on. The tag said a Beautyrest by Simmons.
It was dated, 2019, polyurethane foam, rayon,  plush , silver additive.
What out there would you recommend fo around $1,000-$1700 in queen size?
Thanks, Robert
Hi Robert,
When I did a google search for Disney Mattress, this link showed up.
The gel infused foam used is memory foam, I believe.
Memory foam is the only foam they need to add gel to, as memory foam is the only foam that sleeps hot. The gel mitigates that…but only for a few hours.
Although, they don’t say it’s memory foam. They don’t say what type of foam is used.
Memory foam is the foam used in your Tempurpedic.
You’ll need a new foundation, as well.
Putting a new mattress on a 20 year old foundation will cause premature wear and immediately void the mattress’s warranty.
If you’ve read my blog posts, you’ll know I’m not a fan of memory foam.
The memory foam Tempurpedic used 20 years ago was more durable than any memory foam used today…even by Tempurpedic.
The mattress you slept on was upholstered with polyurethane foam.
This Wolf Brolynn Plush Mattress is also upholstered with polyurethane.

It uses the same individually pocketed coil system as is in the Simmons Beautyrest.
It’s this coil system that made your sleeping experience so good.
The coils in this Wolf mattress are stronger and more durable than in any Beautyrest.
The coil gauge is heavier and the steel is double tempered for greater durability.
The polyurethane foam is natural plant based…not petrochemical based.
It’s a two sided mattress that you can and should flip regularly for added longevity.
It’s likely to have a firmer feel than the mattress you asked about.
Our mattress comes with free ups shipping.
It ships quickly, usually in about a week.
Thanks, Pete
You Should Know
Using an old box spring to support any new mattress will cause premature wear and void the manufacturer’s warranty.
A waterproof mattress protector will extend the life of a mattress by keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry.
