Hi Allen,
The revolving door is caused by memory foam upholstered mattresses.
Memory foam makes a mattress temperature sensitive as well as pressure sensitive.
As you release body heat, the memory foam softens.
It’s not terribly resilient to start, so it doesn’t take long before it’s no longer the mattress you thought you had purchased.
The key is in finding a mattress without any memory foam in it.
I’m afraid that’s easier said than done, as most stores are a sea of memory foam upholstered mattresses.
The reason for this is profits.
Mattresses without memory foam tend to last a good 10 years.
You’re buying a new one every year…which is the purpose of making and selling mattresses upholstered with memory foam.
There are 3 basic types of foams. Only memory foam is temperature sensitive.
The others are polyurethane and latex.
Latex is the oldest and most resilient.
The firmest mattress is the Natura of Canada Greenspring Firm.

Just to give you an idea of what you can expect in terms of longevity, my wife and I sleep on the softest model in this line of mattresses.
Ours is more than 8 years old and still in like new condition.
You can expect even more from the firm model, which is quite hard.
