Hi Brandon,
Tempurpedic bought Sealy in 2013. They now upholster their mattresses with memory foam.
Your old Sealy didn't have any memory foam in it.
Memory foam is a temperature sensitive material that softens as it warms from your body heat.
Once softened, you sink into it.
Memory foam isn't very resilient to begin with and it doesn't take long for it to lose that resiliency.
Now, you're sinking in so far, that your spine is no longer properly aligned...causing back pain.
The diabolical thing about memory foam is that it returns to its original shape when you get out of bed.
So, you never get the sustained impression of 1.5" needed to prevail in a warranty claim.
THAT'S what happened.
Unfortunately, getting rid of that piece of junk is your only option.
The good news is that you don't have to spend a lot of money to get a really well-made mattress.
The Wolf Pocketed Coil/Hybrid models are much higher quality.
The coils are double tempered and the upholstery is latex...and there's NO Memory Foam.
Latex has been the best upholstery material for the last 100 years.
Memory foam has proven to be the worst, over its 20 year history.
