Hi Pete,
We bought Simmons Beautyrest Black mattress.
It is very comfortable, but within a year we started noticing a sag.
After the 3 years we've had it, it's sagging deeply on each side.
The middle of the mattress is noticeably higher, which makes it difficult to roll over.
We have rotated it monthly since we bought it, which doesn't seem to have made a difference in the sagging.
I'm sad that it isn't working out, as it is comfortable, but I can't sleep in a hole.
It cost more than $2000.00, just for the mattress, so one would think it would wear so much longer.
The last bed we had was a double side mattress, that we had for well over 15 years.
It didn't have even a dent in it.
We downsized and had to sell the king as it wouldn't fit in our new cottage.
Otherwise, I believe we would have had it many more years...that's what I'm looking for.
Thanks, Suzi
Hi Suzi,
The memory foam in your mattress is what’s causing the sagging.
Your old mattress didn’t have any memory foam in it.
Today, all of the name brands are using memory foam.
All of the name brands have been sold to investors.
Here is a link to an old-fashioned two-sided mattress with no memory foam in it.
Shipping is free and there's no sales tax. Thanks, Pete
VERY IMPORTANT:
Keeping your mattress clean and dry will increase its longevity.
We recommend our Organic Cotton Waterproof Mattress Protector.
