Simmons Beautyrest Black Mattresses have Memory Foam.

I'm in the market for a new mattress and am strongly considering a Simmons Beautyrest Black Medium Firm.

Your comments about all Simmons Beautyrest mattresses having memory foam and will only hold up for a few years is a bit frightening.

Does that statement hold true for these top end Black Series models?

Hi Mike,

The poor wear of the memory foam does apply to that mattress.

However, there is a way around it.

My wife and I home tested a similar Beautyrest Black mattress.

We used a Suite Sleep 2” Soft Organic Latex Topper on it.

After the 4 years we used it, everything was still in like new condition.

We gave that to our son and his wife, who have had it for the last several years.

They, just recently, replaced the topper, but the mattress remains like new...all thanks to the latex topper.
