Hi Denise,
What you must avoid, are mattresses upholstered with memory foam. They come in all price ranges.
Be it low end or high end, a mattress upholstered with memory foam is a complete waste of money.
A lesser expensive mattress of good quality with a 2” latex topper, that isn’t made in China, will last about 5 years...at which time all you’ll need to replace is the topper.
The topper absorbs so much of your body weight, that is keeps the mattress like new much longer than it normally would without the latex topper.
Body weight is a factor.
This low-cost effort works well for people who are anywhere between light weight to slightly overweight...but not for those who are excessively overweight.
