Things have changed. Simmons was purchased by an investment group.
They are now using a lot more memory foam in Simmons’ mattresses than they did 10 years ago. Memory foam is specifically designed to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing. A Black Beautyrest won’t last nearly as long as yours did.
