A Mattress for a Hospital Bed.

Ronda writes:

Hello Pete,

My mom needs a hospital bed. What came with it is, a lousy memory foam mattress.
She seldom needs the head or foot section raised, however, it’s something that needs to be considered.
She weighs 110 lbs., and has some curvature in upper spine, but has been mostly a back sleeper.
Would an all latex mattress work? Or something else?
In the future she may need to be in bed more of the time.
So, anything that would help go along with preventing bed sores would be of tremendous help.
Thank you in advance for considering my questions.

Hi Rhonda,
An all latex mattress won’t work for her spine.
An innerspring upholstered with latex would be best.
The Pocketed Coil/Latex Hybrid Adara Mattress, shown on this page, will work for her.

Measure her mattress before you order.
It should measure 38” wide and about 80” long.
Sometimes hospital bed mattresses are smaller.

Shipping is free and there's no sales tax.

We recommend using a waterproof mattress protector with every mattress.
Keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry will extend the life of the mattress.

Thanks, Pete
