Replacing an Old Sealy Mattress.

Hi Pete,
Could you help me figure out what kind of Sealy Mattress Model: 515212 Prototype: 5207 is, please?
It’s my niece’s old mattress, which needs replacing.
The tag is so worn, those numbers are the only things I can really make out.
Thanks so much, Shannon

Hi Shannon,
Those are Sealy’s internal numbers and mean nothing to anyone, these years later.
If your niece’s mattress is more than 7 years old, then it was made by Sealy.
Sealy was purchased by Tempurpedic in 2013.

Nothing with a Sealy label, made today, in any retail mattress store, is worth buying.
Every model is upholstered with memory foam...a very poor quality upholstery material that also happens to off gas the toxic chemicals, from which memory foam is made.

Hotels, with sooo many mattresses, have long rejected the use of memory foam.
They insisted upon, and received mattresses made without memory foam...as they had been made prior to 2013.

Only through Sealy’s Hospitality Division, can you hope to find a mattress made like your niece’s mattress.
Sharrie will be able to assist you with that.
There are 3 models, from which to choose.
None will be exactly the same as your niece’s...but, one will be as close as you can hope to get.
Here is Sharrie’s contact information.

We recommend using a waterproof mattress protector with every mattress.
Keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry will extend the life of the mattress.

Thanks, Pete
