Mattresses Ruined by Perspiration.

vicky writes:

Hi Pete,
My husband has a perspiration problem. He sweats, something awful, every night.
His excessive perspiration has ruined  a number of mattresses over the past several years.
We can't afford to buy mattresses so frequently.
Is there anything, that you know of, that will help.
Thanks, Vicky

Hi Vicky,
Over the past several years, all of the name brand mattress companies have been sold.
Tempurpedic bought Sealy and S&F. An investment group bought Simmons and Serta.
They, and many other lesser brands, are all using memory foam to upholster their mattresses.
Memory foam is the only upholstery material that is temperature sensitive....softening as it warms from your body heat.
It absorbs your body heat and reflects it back to you.
These mattresses sleep hot...which is adding greatly to your husband's problem, if he sleeps hot naturally.
There's a good chance that it may be the sole cause of it.

There are a couple of products to consider.
1) Buying a mattress that has no memory foam in it.
We specialize in high quality mattresses upholstered without memory foam.
Here are some links, where you can explore those:

2) Using a waterproof Mattress Protector will save your mattress from the premature wear that happens when the upholstery materials are exposed to moisture.

We recommend using an organic waterproof mattress protector with every mattress.
Keeping the upholstery materials clean and dry will greatly extend the life of any mattress.

Thanks, Pete
