A Mattress that will Wear Well under a 350 Lb. Person.

Hi Pete,
We have had a horrible experience with mattresses. 
First, you need to know that my husband and I sleep on our sides right next to each other all night. 
Both of us are in the middle of the bed, it is like a 350 lb. person in the middle.

We went to the big box mattress store, here in Houston, and purchased an expensive mattress that felt great.  
Within 6 months, it had caved in the middle. They sent a rep out to the house to look at it.
They gave us a store credit and we chose another mattress that was to take care of this problem.
Again, it collapsed in the middle. We wake up not rested and backs are aching.  
What I have been reading is we need to purchase a firm mattress with a latex topper, or latex in it.
But, we are unsure which mattress to purchase.  
Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Sherry,
The problem with most of today's mattresses, is the memory foam upholstery that is so widely used.
They talk about it, as though it were the best thing since sliced bread.
Memory foam is, in fact, the worst upholstery material ever invented.
The specific purpose of memory foam, is to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing.
Memory foam doesn't hold up under average body weight, let alone the way you sleep, concentrating your weights.

I recommend the same mattress that we use at home. My wife and I are, each, over 200 lbs.
Our mattress is more than 4.5 years old and, still, in like new condition.
