A Mattress Recommendation for Lower Back Pain.

I am searching for new mattress. 
Can you tell me what the difference is between: 
The Simmons Beautyrest Platinum Gibson Grove luxury firm and extra firm mattresses?
I have lower back pain, and would like to get a mattress that isn't like sleeping on a floor but not soft either. 
I sleep on my back or side. 
Any input on these two mattresses or any other recommendations would be appreciated.

The upholstery is stiffer in the extra firm than it is in the luxury firm
The individually pocketed coils maintain the natural alignment of your spine.
