Replacing an Old Simmons Beautyrest World Class Nottoway Plush Mattress.

Hi Pete, 
We have a Simmons Beautyrest World Class Nottoway Plush mattress, that is about 18 years old. 
My husband and I are both average sizes 5’10” 165 lbs and 5’5” 110 lbs. 
He suffers from back pain and when we initially got the mattress he woke up feeling great. 
Over the last few years, I have been suffering from hip pain. I spend most of the night tossing and turning to alleviate the pain. 
My first question is ....is my mattress worn out? If so what recommendations would you make? 
I have no problem investing in a new mattress but like you have pointed out I want to spend my money on what is going to work for us.

Hi Kelly,
That you've had a mattress that you've enjoyed for so long, and that it is now causing pain, is a clear indicator that you need a new mattress.
Simmons doesn't make a mattress that is long lasting, anymore. 
Their plush models, in particular, are very short lived and the source of most of the complaints you read about them on internet reviews. 
This has been true for quite some time...over the last 10 years, or so.
