Are the Micro Coils in the Simmons Beautyrest Mattresses Worth the Extra Cost?

What is your opinion of the second layer of coils in Simmons Beautyrest mattresses? 
The salesman called them Micro Coils. 

Does that make any difference, and is it worth the extra cost?

Hi Michael,
That second layer of coils in the Beautyrest mattresses, (and others), the "Micro Coils", are only 1.5" tall.
They have offering this technology, off and on, over the last 30 years.
It does make the mattress more comfortable, initially, but adds to the lack of longevity. 
It's viewed as one of those gimmicky things, for which the mattress industry is famous.
Ever since they've reduced the overall quality; first making mattresses one sided, then adding memory foam, they've switched from selling quality, (which no longer exists), to selling this kind of BS and doing a good job of making it sound like it's worth something.
In short, "No, it's not worth the extra cost"!
