A Mattress Without Memory Foam or a Latex Topper on a Budget.

Hello Pete,

I’ve done a lot of research on your page, and in general, and I have a few questions.
I travel a lot for work and stay in a lot of hotels and some beds are fantastic.
From what I can gather, these are just thick pillow top innerspring mattresses, typically Serta, but they don’t last.
It seems like you guys recommend buying a firm mattress from somewhere like Wolf and adding a latex topper.
So, why not just buy a good innerspring mattress without memory foam and a nice pillow top like the hotels, instead of the route you guys suggest?
If that is something you guys would suggest what would you recommend on a budget?
Thank you, Noah

Hi Noah,
You make it sound like mattresses without memory foam are easy to find.
And, you don’t seem to realize that the pillowtop part is the first thing to wear out, despite all your research.
That’s where the latex toppers come into play.
The latex topper replaces the pillowtop and remains like new for many years.

However, I do have a mattress that might suit you.
It’s a two sided mattress from Wolf...The Brolynn Plush.
It’s comfortable enough to use without a topper, has no memory foam, is well made, and priced for those on a budget.
Here’s the link to that mattress.
