Simmons Beautyrest Luxury Firm Mattress and Latex Topper.

I remember before, you recommended the world class series in luxury firm and a latex topper. 
I don't see the world class offered anymore. 

I am looking at a Platinum line Haven Pines or Spring Grove in luxury firm or pillow luxury firm. 
Do you still recommend luxury firm? and with a pillow top?

Hi Sachia,
It has been awhile! Hasn’t it?
The series and model names have all changed, but the recommendation remains the same.
The latex topper in lieu of the pillowtop is now imperative.
In January of 2016, Simmons switched to all memory foam upholstery.
Today’s Beautyrest mattresses won’t last but a couple of years without that latex topper.
We dropped the pillowtop models from our website because of the extremely poor performance of the memory foam.

Hey Pete,
Thank you, so much, for the quick response.
I have noticed Simmons is using a Gel memory foam. 
What do you think of the hybrids like the Silver Hybrid. They are using 900 coils with the cooling gel memory foam. 
I guess it's better to stick to the Platinum line. The 2” latex topper could be sewn right on top of the mattress?

Hi Sachia,
The gel is used to mitigate the heat, but it doesn't work all night and doesn't keep the memory foam from wearing out quickly.
The latex topper will insulate you from the memory foam all together. The latex sleeps cool.
The Latex toppers come with a sewn on cover that has corner straps that wrap around the corners of the mattress...keeping it in place.
There's no need to sew it to the mattress.

Memory foam of all types, gel or no gel, is the worst upholstery material ever invented.
It's specific purpose is to make what used to be classified as a durable product, disposable. 
Don't fall for any of the hype. It's all BS.
