Hi Pete,
Is the Serta Monitor 266 full size longer than a standard full size bed frame?
I am trying to fit it in an old full size antique brass bed from 1890.
It appears 3 or 4 inches longer.
Thanks, Doug
Hi Doug,
The modern age of mattresses began in the 1920s.
There's nothing standard about products made in 1890.
The standard length of a full size mattress is 74' - 75".
If your antique brass bed is shorter than that, I suggest replacing the side rails, which will solve your problem.
A Word of Warning:
DO NOT discard the original rails.
Store them under the bed or in a closet.
They are an integral part of maintaining the value of that original antique brass bed.
Without them, the value drops dramatically.
Thanks, Pete
