Charles P. Rodgers Estate 5000 or 7000 or Dixie Foam Dream Bed Deluxe Mattress.

Marya writes:

Hi Pete,
I bought a 7" latex mattress - it might have been Sealy, from you, at least 10 years ago, and it has been fine. I'm buying a new mattress now.
What do you think of Charles P. Rodgers Estate 5000 or 7000 mattresses, (springs plus foam plus latex)?
Any opinion on Dixie Foam Dream Bed Deluxe (foam plus latex)?
Any other suggestions?
I'm 5'4, 125 lbs., early 60s, no particular aches and pains (yet!).
Thanks, Marya

Hi Marya,
Welcome back.
I'm pleased to hear that your previous purchase, from us, has worked so well for you.

The specifications, for those Rogers mattresses, appears to be good.
They don't indicate the source of their Talalay Latex. US=Good. China=Bad.
The Chinese use clay as a filler, making it much cheaper, which affects the durability and longevity.
But, quite frankly, that doesn't matter so much under someone of your size.
It will matter if there is someone else on the mattress, in addition to you.

The Dixie Foam Dreambed Deluxe has no latex. It's all Polyurethane foam.

If I were to recommend a mattress for just you, from what we carry, it would be:
The Simmons Beautyrest Silver Great Lakes Cove in Luxury Firm and an EverEden 2" Soft, Pure, All Natural, US made, Talalay Latex Topper.
Here are links to both items:

The latex Topper arrives via UPS
The Mattress comes with White Glove Delivery, which includes set-up in your bedroom and removal of your old mattress and all packing materials.
Both are freshly made to fill your order.
Delivery is free and there's no sales tax.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Protect and maximize your mattress investment. Use a waterproof mattress protector.

Thanks, Pete
