Tempur-ProAdapt (Firm) Mattress is Causing Severe Neck or Shoulder Pain

Thanks for taking my questions! 
I have a new Tempur-ProAdapt (Firm) mattress. 
I've only had it for 30 days but have developed severe neck and shoulder pain (maybe it's too firm?). I am a stomach and side sleeper.
My husband is a side and back sleeper and prefers a firm mattress. 
We have an adjustable base because he has acid reflux problems that requires him to sleep a bit elevated. 
Do you recommend a mattress that will work us both? Also one that will be compatible with our adjustable base?

Hi Asmaa,
Your mattress has memory foam on top, which makes it more than just a firmness issue.
Memory foam is the only upholstery material that is temperature sensitive. 
As memory foam warms from your body's heat, it loses it's resiliency and allows you to sink into it.
You'll sink where you're heavier and less so where you're lighter.
This often results in pain.

Contrary to all the advertising hype and sales pitches that lead you to believe that memory foam is the best thing since sliced bread, it is, in fact, thee worst upholstery material ever invented. It's specific purpose is to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing. 
In a short while, you find that it has lost it's support. 
Memory foam recovers when you get out of bed, so that you will not prevail in a warranty claim.
And, as if that weren't bad enough, memory foam off gasses the toxic chemicals from which it's made.

My advice is to get rid of it, before it does permanent damage to your body.

All mattresses, today, are designed to work with an adjustable base.
