A Latex Mattress on an Adjustable Bed for Large People.

Hi Pete,
I'm looking for the best mattress and/or latex topper to use with a Serta Motion Perfect lll adjustable bed base.
We are large people. My husband is a 250 lb. back and belly sleeper. I'm a 175 lb. side and back sleeper. 
We live in Phoenix and want materials that will keep us cool, hold up to our girth and can be used with the adjustable base.
It uses Velcro to hold the mattress in place. 
Looking for firm support that will last and cushion on top for comfort.

Hi Michelle,
When there is an adjustable bed base involved, it’s not only your body weights to consider...but the concentrated weight when you have the head and foot raised.

When the mattress is flat, your weight is spread out.
When the bed is cranked up, almost all of your weight becomes concentrated in that spot in the mattress under your butts.
Innerspring mattresses do not fair well under these circumstances.
It’s that spot in the mattress that will wear first, and it starts to show almost immediately.

The most durable material, and most comfortable, is pure all natural latex.
It’s the best choice for both, an adjustable bed and to support heavy weights.

Pure all natural latex is the best latex....longest lasting.
Also available, is blended latex (natural and synthetic).
The thing to avoid is latex made in China, where they add fillers, like clay.
It’s sold as all natural, as clay is a natural material. But it’s cheaper and wears quickly.

We carry a US made brand that uses only pure all natural latex, with no fillers and no synthetics. The brand is EverEden.
Their mattresses come in a choice of thickness and comfort.
I suggest the 9”, as it is the most comfortable.
For you, I would recommend the 6” core in Firm and the 3” top layer in Soft.
