So, I am wondering if you have the specs for our old mattress (Simmons model 14409) and how it compares to your plush mattress?
What is your guarantee – we are gun shy on buying online since the Dream Cloud did not work out.
We live in North Carolina and would travel a reasonable distance to try out a mattress.
We have found that the $5K mattress at a local retailer seems pretty comfortable, but that’s a high price and I believe it has memory foam.

Much has changed since you bought that St. Moritz mattress.
That mattress has no memory foam in it. All of today's Beautyrests are upholstered with memory foam.
Memory foam is used to cause a mattress to need frequent replacing.
The industry has gone from making quality products, to profitable products.
All of the name brands have been sold to investors. Memory foam is used to recoup their investment and turn a profit.
Besides being it's poor performance, most memory foam is made from a toxic chemical soup.
There is plant based memory foam out there, which is not toxic, but equally poor in quality.
Memory foam is the only upholstery that is temperature sensitive....absorbing your body heat and reflecting it back to you. It sleeps hot.
Every store you walk into, today, shows a sea of mattresses upholstered with memory foam.
This is what you SHOULD be gun shy about....buying from stores with no good quality mattresses from which to choose.
Memory foam is highly deceptive...feeling comfy when you try it and not feeling the same only a couple of short months later.
The factories do not participate in this comfort exchange scam...and neither do we.
When you deal with a retailer who offers it, you can easily end up with a mattress that someone else had used and returned.
Despite the illegality of that, it happens all the time.
No one is policing this industry.
If you want a supportive and comfortable mattress that will last more than only a couple of years, you will need to stay away from memory foam and stay out of that store....one of the most over priced retailers in the country....selling nothing but mattresses filled with memory foam.
"The more you spend, the better it must be", does not apply to this industry. More Money = More Memory Foam.
$5K spent for that mattress is a total waste of money.
The mattress I suggest, uses the same individually pocketed coil system that is used in the Simmons Beautyrest.
The differences are:
The coil count is higher in the Natura of Canada Greenspring. The coils are stronger, made of double tempered steel.
(The coils in the Simmons Beautyrest are not tempered. Their plush models use a very thin wire.)
The upholstery is Latex and contains NO Memory Foam.
These are very high quality mattresses...and what we use at home.
Their Ultra Plush model is the most comfortable.
