My wife and I sleep on a Sleep Number bed (4 years now) made of two twin xl mattresses.
We've had enough of the discomfort caused by this type bed. Ready to get rid of it and move to something better.
Both mattresses are on leggett and platt adjustable bases.
We are each side sleepers and with the base completely flat and only raise it to read or watch TV.
The legs of my base are raised about 6 inches to help with a reflux problem.
We each are experiencing some back pain and even neck and shoulder pain for myself.
She seems to prefer a little more firmness in her mattress, while I appreciate something not that firm.
We stayed at a hotel recently and slept on a Sealy Posturpedic 700 Plush mattress.
I found it too firm and woke with shoulder pain while she didn't seem to dislike it that much.
She is 69, weighing 140 and 5'2", and I am 73, weighing 180 and 5'9".
We would appreciate any help and recommendations from you.

A mattress with an individually pocketed coil will provide contouring support that maintains the natural alignment of your spine.
It's also important to avoid mattresses upholstered with memory foam, as it allows you to sink...throwing off your spine's alignment.
