Natura of Canada Greenspring Mattress for a Large Man with DDD and Scoliosis.

Hi Pete, 
Currently, my husband and I are sleeping on a Sheraton Sweet Sleeper, which is 5 years old and has taken to squeaking. 
My husband is a lobsterman who carries 70 plus lb traps daily. He is 6 foot 235 lbs, I am 5 feet 125 lbs. 
He has DDD, mild scoliosis, and constant tight muscles in his middle back. 
We need a new mattress and have no idea where to start. 
Do we need firm mattress, or a pillow top, or memory foam, like Tempurpedic. 
Should we have a box spring or be sleeping on a platform bed? 
On top of this, we both sleep on our stomachs. 
Your advice would be appreciated.

Memory foam will make matters worse. With it, you'll experience what countless others experience...an increase in pain.
As stomach sleepers, you will require a firm mattress for proper spinal alignment. 
However, your husband's job is physically demanding and puts a lot of strain on his back.
