Simmons Beautyrest Plush Pillowtop Mattress sagging and sleeping hot.

Please help!!
I recently purchased a Simmons Beautyrest Plush Pillowtop mattress.                        
Immediately upon sleeping on the mattress, I noticed that I was sweating on the back of the neck and around the top of my back and shoulders.
And, it started to sag almost immediately.
I sleep on my back and left side. 
My previous mattress was also a Simmons Beautyrest, from the mid 90s. 
It was a mattress that had been used for all of those years, but I had never had an issue with any type of heating-up problem. 
I believe that this has to do with the mattress coils and/or possibly the mattress covering. Initially, I thought that it might have to do with the covering over the mattress, as I noticed that it was different than the previous Beautyrest. 
The previous one had a shiny-satiny type of covering, this one has a rougher fabric covering. 
I have tried a towel under my back, increasing the distance of my pillow between the cradle of my head and neck and the top of my back and shoulders. 

None of these conditions is acceptable considering the money that was paid out. 
Macy's sent out a tech/repairman, who determined that the mattress was sinking a little, but not enough to be beyond "normal". 
Please help!!

Hi Carl,
The problem started with your assumption that a new mattress would have the same level of quality as your old one.
Your old Beautyrest was two sided, and contained no memory foam.
The next mistake, which is an off shoot of the first, you bought a plush pillowtop.
Salespeople encourage consumers to pick out a mattress based on comfort, because it makes for an easy sale.

You had no way of knowing...and still don't realize, that it is the memory foam that is causing you to sleep hot. 
Today, is a far cry from the 1990's in terms of quality.
All of the name brands have gone bad, by upholstering all of their mattresses with memory foam.
You have to understand that none of the brand names, that had spent decades earning your trust by producing a quality mattress, are now owned by the same people who used to make those mattresses.
Simmons and Serta were purchased by the same investment group.
Sealy and Stearns & Foster are now owned by Tempurpedic...the people who introduced memory foam.
Those purchases were expensive and those who bought those companies are in a hurry to recover their investment and turn a profit.

That is achieved with memory foam...a diabolical product that begins to lose it's support and comfort, almost immediately. You don't prevail in a warranty claim because the foam recovers enough, when you get out of bed, that is will never measure the sustained impression needed for authorization to exchange. 

To make matters worse, you chose a plush pillowtop.
A Simmons Beautyrest is made plush by using a much thinner gauge wire for the coils...coils that are made of raw steel...not tempered steel.
The pillowtops are the first things to show wear, and they do so right away.
For that reason, none of the Beautyrests we offer on out website are plush or have pillowtops.
We are, certainly, free to sell them. We choose not to, because of their poor performance.

The individually pocketed coils provide an independent suspension type of support...which maintains the natural alignment of the spine and greatly reduces motion transfer.
It does these things better than any other name brand.
When we sell a Beautyrest, it's one of their firmer models, using a much heavier gauge wire for the coils. And, since even the firmer models are upholstered with memory foam, we recommend that you use a 2" Soft Talalay Latex topper to go with it.
Natural latex is and has been the best upholstery material for the last 100 years.
A latex topper, in lieu of a pillowtop, will do a number of things.
1) Latex sleeps cool. Only memory foam is temperature sensitive, which is why it sleeps hot.
    The latex topper insulates you from the memory foam.
2) Latex is extremely comfortable and equally resilient.
     Latex provides that soft, comfortable sleeping surface and remains like new for many years.
3) And because it so resilient, it absorbs all of your body weight, which in turn, causes the                   mattress to last far longer than the manufacturer intended.

Being stuck with the choice you made, means that you've totally thrown your money away.
Call Macy's and insist that they exchange that mattress for a Luxury Firm Beautyrest...without a pillowtop.
