Hi Pete
I am very happy to have found your website before I spend $2500 on a bed that may not last or be appropriate.
I've been to 3 different stores looking at mattresses. 
Two of the three stores took me to the most expensive mattresses. 
Both also told me that the innerspring only mattresses were for guest rooms. 
I was shocked at the sticker price!

I could use your advice on our situation. 
My husband is 230 lbs and I am 150 lbs.  
We both sleep on our sides and backs and have back issues.  
I've also had both shoulders operated on within the last 8 years and find I switch sides while sleeping because of pain. 
We are very active on our farm and in our early 50's.
Our current spring mattress is over 13 years old and makes noise and has a lot of movement when we move.

We tired the following mattresses: Simmons Beautyrest Black, Sealy Posturepedic, Serta iSeries.
Of course, we found the hybrid mattresses very comfortable but if they don't last we don't want to buy them.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

In order for your mattress choice to last a decent amount of time and to provide the long lasting surface comfort you require, you will need a latex topper.
The padding used in today's mattresses, memory and poly foams, are designed to be comfortable enough to make the sale, but do fail quickly.
