A Latex Mattress on a Platform Bed.

Hi Pete,
I'm looking to purchase a platform bed (with slats). 
I am also considering buying a latex mattress, but I heard that sleeping on a latex mattress placed on slats is not a good idea because the mattress will get saggy before its time. 
What's your opinion?

Hi Lisa,
That would depend on the platform bed.
We happen to have a latex mattress on a slatted platform bed, at home.
There are platforms with just slats and no center supports. 
On such a platform, any mattress will sag as the slats bow.
But, if you have all the necessary center supports, (a beam up the center that supports the slats and at least 2 legs to the floor that support the center beam), you have nothing to worry about.
