Mattress for Relief of Herniated and Bulging Disc Back Pain.

Hi Pete,
Could you recommend a mattress for me?  I have a herniated disc and a bulging disc.  
I can't find much latex in the South Florida area to test.  Ikea had one but they are redesigning it now.  
I tried a Kingsdown with latex on top and liked it.  It was firm but had enough latex to cushion the pressure points.  
But, Kingsdown doesn't have good reviews.  I've been looking for a year now and I don't want to buy out of desperation.
I am 48 yrs. old  5'3" and 138.

Hi Mary Ann,
Your size mitigates in your favor. 
Still, herniated & bulging discs are nothing to fool with. They require firm support. The bulging discs will eventually herniate, without the right support. 
Firm support will slow the deteriorating process.
You will want some degree of surface comfort and you have to be careful about that. 
Most surface padding is either poly foam or memory foam or both, and neither is good at keeping its shape for very long.
