Kingsdown Mattress Warranty Claim Denied.

I'm responding because of a blog that asked about a denied mattress warranty claim on 1.25 inch body indentation.

What is the best thing to do when a claim is denied?

My indentation is 1.5" on one side. A picture was taken as proof!

Kingsdown is saying it is only .5" despite the picture that clearly shows a 1.5" indent..

Hi Albert,

Many people find themselves at the mercy of manufacturer's that don't honor their warranties.

Kingsdown is but one of the major offenders in this.

Mattresses have been made to fail easily...more and more so over the last 15 years.

Short of getting a lawyer involved, you might try the BBB and your state's Attorney General's office.

It is a sad state of affairs. The best you can do, going forward, is to believe none of what you hear and half of what you see.

You should know that the mattress industry is not a consumer friendly place and that due diligence is now required to make an informed decision.
