Softening a Too Firm Tempurpedic Mattress with a Soft Talalay Latex Topper.

Hello Pete, 
My husband suffers from Degenerative Disc Disease in the lower back. I have shoulder and hip pain from a serious car accident 12 years ago. 
We have a Tempurpedic bed that works well for me but not does not work at all for my husband. He tends to like a bed that is very soft, I prefer a firmer bed. 
I see your recommendation for a latex topper. Would that help both of us, and can we use it on the Tempurpedic? 
The other bed we both have had luck with was the Heavenly Bed made by Simmons. 
I guess my biggest concern when shopping for a bed is that we both prefer different levels of firmness. 
Any help you could offer would be appreciated.

Hi Mary,
Yes. If you add a 2" layer of soft Talalay latex to that mattress, the surface will become much more comfortable...relieving pressure points and providing muscle relaxation. 
It will do that job without sacrificing the underlying firm support. It will also extend the life of the mattress and insulate you from the heat that memory foam causes.
