Do you have any pros and cons on the Simmons Beautyrest Cape Braton mattress.
It is the kind they use at the Wyndham Hotels. It also comes in a pillow top and thought about pillow tops?

The individually pocketed coil system in the Simmons Beautyrest is what makes it so comfortable.
It maintains the natural alignment of your spine....for a great night's sleep.
This is why we, my wife and I, look for hotels that feature Simmons Beautyrest mattresses, when we travel.
However, the steel they use for the coils is not tempered and the upholstery in that mattress consists of memory and poly foam...neither of which, wears well.
Hotels care more for providing comfort for their guests and are less concerned about durability.
Hotel rooms are filled on a rotating basis and are not used every night. Even with the part time use they get, the mattresses need replacing every few years.
In a master bedroom, where you will use it every night, you'd be lucky to get a couple of years out of it. Less if you get a pillowtop,,,which is the first thing to wear.
Simmons went through a line change in May. They switched from a combination of memory and poly foam, to using all memory foam...which is less resilient than memory foam.
The purpose of memory foam is to sell more mattresses more frequently to the same people.
THIS, in stark contrast to the quality they used to make before being purchased by an investment group.
When we recommend a Simmons Beautyrest mattress, we recommend a firm model, and using a soft latex topper with it, in lieu of a pillowtop.
Latex, in contrast to memory foam, is far more resilient and much longer lasting.
Latex sleeps cool, while memory foam sleeps hot.
Latex is all natural, while memory foam is a chemical soup.
The latex topper will absorb so much of your body weight, that the mattress will last much longer than the manufacturer intended.
