Electric Blanket can be used with a latex mattress and not memory foam.

Hi Pete,
Can I use an electric blanket on top or under a memory foam mattress or does the heat render the foam to melt ?
Thanks, Dorothy

Hi Dorothy,
Memory foam is temperature sensitive. It will soften when it warms, allowing your body to sink...throwing off your spine's natural alignment and causing pain.
It won't actually melt.
All this happens from just the body heat you radiate. An electric blanket will speed up that process.
If you like a foam mattress and don't want to deal with the problems of memory foam, let me suggest latex.
Latex foam rubber mattresses have been the best type of mattress available since the 1920s.
It's extremely comfortable and durable. It will out-perform memory foam by quite a bit.
Latex is not temperature sensitive. You can use an electric blanket with it, no problem.
