A Better Value? Simmons Beautyrest Black vs. Natura Greenspring Mattress.

Hello Pete,
I have been reading your advice and input on your blog and website, which is very helpful.
I purchased a Sealy Posturepedic Firm mattress from Macy's, that I am returning.  It ended up too stiff and firm yet indenting at hips. 
I am a back and side sleeper with a history of whiplash injuries. 5'4" petite female at about 115 lbs. 
I find I need good firm support with some softness. My last mattress was a sleep number with pillowtop cover which lost support and never fond of sleeping on air. 
I was tossing and turning a lot on that bed.
I am leaning towards a Simmons Beautyrest Black Desiree, but can't decide if I would do better on the luxury plush or luxury firm model.

Hi Joanie,
You can't go wrong with a Simmons Black model. And, although the plush model sees more than it's fair share of complaints, at your weight it's less of an issue.
That being said, The black models are something I recommend for someone twice your weight. They are more mattress than you need.
I don't want to dissuade you from buying a quality mattress, but you can do better...and for less money.
We carry a line from Natura of Canada. Their Greenspring line uses a pre-compressed, indiviually pocketed coil unit...much like the Simmons Beautyrest uses.
The difference is that the coils are double tempered for greater resiliency and longevity...while the Beautyrest coils are made of raw steel and not tempered, at all.
Also, the upholstery in the Natura Greenspring is Natural Talalay Latex...and contain NO Memory Foam....while the Beautyrest upholstery is mostly memory foam.
The difference is in the longevity...providing the support and comfort you want, while remaining like new for many years.
There are 5 models in the Greenspring line. The Plush Eurotop is the most comfortable of them.
Not only are they better made, they don't cost as much.
