Hi Pete,
I am a middle aged woman going through menopause, so can’t bear anything that captures my heat.  I am also starting treatment for my hip pain. to have some hip pains.

Latex sleeps cooler than other upholstery product. 
It also insulates you from the fire retardant backing to the fabric, used in most mattresses, which is known to cause menopausal women to sleep warm.
