We have a Sealy Posturepedic SpringFree Rivercrest Latex mattress that has been great but seems to have become a bit hard lately.
We recall two more models in the same line one up, meaning a firmer one and the other one being softer but the local store who used to carry this line closed down.
We were wondering why this perfectly great mattress has become too hard, wondering if being older folks now has made the difference, the mattress is only 6 years older n so are we.
Also wondering if the softer model would be the answer n which one that would.
We bought a Saatva "so called medium or soft" which feels like a rock & what a mistake that has been since it feels even firmer than our Rivercrest.
Now sleeping on the Saatva and on the recliner most nights. Please help!!!

I sometimes get up with worse knee and lower back and now shoulder pain too, than when I went to bed.
My husband has back, and cervical issues that gives him a lot of problems n now ends up getting up n going into his recliner in the middle of the night.
Because we loved the Rivercrest which is in great shape still, we are wondering if a softer mattress on the same line will be the answer for us.

Your mattress is no longer being made, so there is no softer version of the same mattress.
As time went by, the poly foam at the top of your mattress has compressed...producing that firmer feel.
And, as older folks, you are sensitive to these types of changes a mattress goes through as it ages.
