A New King Size Mattress to Replace our Old Tempurpedic.

Hi Pete,
Reading the info on your website, I'm in market for new king mattress.
We are currently sleeping on a Tempurpedic the last 8 years or so. 
We didn't know about the toxic chemical issues, etc.

Both my wife and I are side sleepers and have shoulder and hip pain from pressure points. 
Only have the hip and shoulder pain while sleeping, not during day, but last night I woke up every 2 hours or so due to pain and had to switch sides all night. 
I'm 5-08 and 180, wife is 5-09 175.
Not sure which mattress would work, and do I need a base or can I re-use the Tempurpedic base.

Hi Mark,
The foundation, you have, does not need to be replaced. Unless, of course, it's broken.
Having an all wood construction, there's nothing there to wear out.
There is, also, an excellent possibility that you don't need a new mattress, either.
What has failed is the memory foam. Luckily, the mattress has only a small amount of memory foam on top that is supported by a thick slab of high density poly foam.
Only the memory foam is temperature sensitive...which is why it wore as it did.
If you were to get a soft latex topper, you can add that to the flip side of your mattress.
It would be like having a whole new bed.
Latex is not temperature sensitive and has been the best upholstery material on the planet for the last 100 years.
You'll find that latex is a whole lot better at relieving pressure points and relaxing muscles, for a deeper, more comfortable night's sleep.
If you prefer to just get a new mattress, one made of all natural latex, is the best you can get.
