Scoliosis, Hip, Shoulder, & Neck pain. A Latex Mattress Topper First.

Hi Pete
My mother and father are looking for a new mattress.  They are both obese (appx 250 lbs each) and one has scoliosis and the other has hip, shoulder, & neck pain.  They have a five year old soft latex mattress with a pillowtop but it is not providing relief from back & other joint pain.  Could they just put a latex topper on it before buying new bed?  If yes, what topper do you recommend?  If not it looks like a firm mattress with a latex mattress topper would be best based on what I have read on your site.  Could you advise what mattress and or topper you recommend?  Thank you.

Hi,
Whatever mattress they get, will likely need a latex topper for a number of reasons.
So, it stands to reason, get the topper first.
Flip their mattress over and add the topper to the underside.
This should produce the best result.
It may, very well, be all they need.
My recommendation for a topper is the Ever-Eden 3" Soft Vytex Dunlop.

These toppers are finished like a mattress, in a taped edged cotton/polyester knit cover.Talalay Latex is a more supple material and is Hypo-Allergenic
Thanks, Pete
