Stearns & Foster or an all latex mattress from Pure Bliss.

April writes:

Hi Pete,
We are deciding between a Stearns & Foster mattress and an all latex mattress from Pure Bliss.

My husband likes firm.  I like the Plush.  We will probably get 2 twin xl mattresses, as to satisfy both of us.
We are planning on getting adjustable bed bases too.
Which do you recommend of these two types of mattresses?
Your thoughts?

Thanks, April

Hi,
There are pros and cons with everything, including adjustable beds. The pros are obvious. There are a lot of them. There is only one con and not something that would be a part of any sales pitch. It's the kind of thing that comes too late. When you have the adjustable bed bases in the raised position, the pressure of your body weight shifts from being evenly distributed to a central point in the mattress...the spot under your butt. It's at this point that the mattress will wear first and deepest.
That said, the strongest of the mattresses you're considering, is the all latex from Pure Bliss. It will do a much better job of keeping it's shape over the years...far more resilient than anything S&F is currently producing.
Here's a link to the Pure Bliss, all latex line of mattresses. We offer an additional 10% discount from the prices shown. Delivery is free and there's no sales tax.
