Simmons Beautyrest Black Edenton luxury firm mattress needs a latex topper.

How do I decide between soft and medium ever eden talalay mattress topper? We don't have a ton of experience comparing toppers. I wake up with some lower back aches and she with arm numbness.
We have the Simmons Beautyrest Black Edenton luxury firm
Maybe too firm?
1) wife 125 lb 5 ft side sleeper with some upper spinal nerve impingement ,  arm tingling/numbness 2) I'm 140 lb 5'4'' stomach sleeper waking up in middle of night from 'discomfort' and minor lower back acheness
Thx!! Dan

Hi Dan,
My wife and I slept on an older version of that same mattress for years.
We used a 2" soft Talalay latex topper with it.
That combination was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever had.

Right now, the memory foam at the surface is allowing you to sink.
This is what's causing your back ache.
The latex will prevent that...creating a barrier and insulating you from the memory foam.
You don't sink in latex...not even soft latex. It holds you up.
Go with the 2" soft Talalay.
It will solve your problem and be better for your wife.
Before applying the topper, rotate the mattress.

Thanks, Pete
