I went to the City Mattress website to have a look at that mattress.
The information, they provide about that mattress, is incomplete.
It's a 15" mattress. It has an 11" latex core.
They talk about 2" of pressure relieving material...which makes me wonder if that isn't memory foam.
"Pressure Relieving Material" is often a euphemism for memory foam, when they don't want to come right out and say so.
And, there's no word as to what the unnamed 3" might be.
You have to cautious about memory foam. It's initial comfort is lost very quickly, which would leave you with an expensive mistake.
Latex is and always has been the very best upholstery material available, while memory foam has proven itself to be the worst...with "Making the sale" it's only value...and THAT value is to the retailer, not the consumer.
If you go back to the store, there will be a white label sewn into one of the seams at the head of the mattress. It's the "DO NOT REMOVE" label.
On it, you can see, by percentage, the upholstery material used in that mattress. If you see the word, "Memory Foam" or "Visco Foam", you won't want that mattress.
It's only value to you, is if it were 100% latex.
You can right me back with what it says, if you have any questions about it.
To the end of buying thee most comfortable bed on the market, there is nothing as comfortable as the Pure Latex Bliss "Beautiful" model, which is all latex.
It, too, has that sleeping on a cloud feel...and still providing good support.
It, too, is expensive...but a couple of thousand dollars less than the mattress you're looking at.
